The full-frame mirrorless Nikon Z5 entry-level camera has just been introduced in India. It is the most compact Z-series camera with a full-frame sensor officially available to Nikon. The Nikon Z5 uses a new sensor and it also gets in-body image stabilisation (IBIS), dual SD card slots and the capacity to fire up to 4 K footage given its lower location in the list.
The Nikon Z5 will be eligible in India from August 27 for only the body at a retail price of Rs. 1,13,995. A new NIKKOR Z 24-50 mm f/4-6.3 kit lens was also announced by Nikon, which it says is the shortest and lightest Z-mount lens it has ever made. The Z5 will be eligible with this lens at a combined price of 1,36,995 Rs.
The Nikon Z5 inherits many features from its bigger siblings, the Z6 and Z7, including the five-axis IBIS, autofocus system, and design. However, it does come with a new full-frame sensor with 24.3 megapixels. It also uses the same Expeed 6 image processor and has an ISO range of 100-51,200 similar to that of the Nikon Z6.Burst shoot speed is slightly lower, at 4.5fps. The Z5 also features two SD card slots, with UHD-II speed support. It also has the same magnesium alloy body as the Z6 and Z7, with weather proof of some degree.
